About Course Evaluations

Institutional Research and Decision Support (IRDS) administers online course evaluations (also known as Online Course Questionnaires or OCQ) in partnership with the colleges and schools at IUPUI. Responses from course evaluations give students a forum to provide feedback about their courses. By completing online course questionnaires, students provide useful information to improve courses and overall instruction at IUPUI. In that context, student feedback helps instructors to make improvements in the teaching and learning process, thereby enhancing the learning experience for students. When course questionnaires are administered across a department/school, it allows for robust analysis and reporting that can help faculty to improve course-level pedagogy and program-level curriculum.

Service Overview

Towards the end of each course session, students receive an email inviting them to complete their course questionnaire(s) as quickly as possible. Alternatively, students who are unable to find these email messages can access their course evaluations online at https://coursequestionnaire.iu.edu.

The mission of course evaluation services is to facilitate the collection, analysis, and distribution of data to improve the teaching and learning environment at IUPUI.
